This listing is for a very special Cissette from around 1961. In the Merod book "Cissette", on p. 142, the author says this outfit is "very rare" and that Cissy has a similar outfit. The outfit has no number, but Merod places it from 1961 because it is similar to Margot items including the halter top of embroidered ribbon which is reminiscent of the Margot bikini, the Nehru collar silk jacket which is the same pattern as the 1961 shorts outfit for Margot and Cissette, and the cot...ton turquoise pants which are identical to the one used for Margot's and Jackie's outfits of 61-62. Completing the outfit are nice stretchy gold elastic heels and the HTF double drop turquoise earrings. Everything is in mint condition with no imperfections that I could find. Cissette has no splits, stains, or odors and her gorgeous facial coloring has had no retouches. This doll comes in a Margot box with 1961 booklet, and a wrist tag that says "Cissette" on the back. Perhaps this doll got mixed up in the store with the 1961 Margots that were being offered. She is one hard to find and fantastic beauty that will grace your collection.
