This is a very nice original late 1955 Fender Champ amp in very good condition. The date code on both the tube chart and chassis is "EK" indicating November of 1955. It has the narrow panel cabinet and is a model 5E1. The serial number on both the tube chart and chassis is C00505. Tube chart is all intact and nice. Chassis bears the name "Lupe" on the original piece of masking tape (see photo). Amp is in very good condition with normal wear and patina to the original tweed covering. Or...iginal grille cloth is also nice with some normal wear. Control panel shows some patina but all lettering is intact and legible. Leather handle is also original and in good shape. Filter caps have been replaced at some point (see photo) but everything else is original, intact and nice including speaker which is date coded 37th week of 1955 (see photo). Original power cord is also intact and in very good shape. Amp works and sounds great! It's quiet with very good volume and the killer tone these amps are known for. Tubes are vintage.
