This is a very Rare Original Colt 1860 Shoukder Stock . Condition is Used. The shoulder stock was discovered in and is correctly marked as a very rare civilian version of the 1860 Army fluted model. The screws are all fire blues and hand cut, not machine cut. The tightening nut os also hand cut and bone of the threads are perfectly concentric, the threads on the screws are thin and display the correct type of abnormalities of hand cut items. The claw is knurled correctly as would be on... a civilian model as well. This is an amazing piece of history that few have ever seen for your civilian Colt Model 1860 revolver. The wood is super hard and has shrunk slightly from the original fit the the brass fitting. The script of the serial number is correct and exactly the same as with others in the same serial range something which cannot be faked very easily. The stock has the CORRECT “W” inspector mark as well. If this does not sell here it will end up at Rock Island where it'll fetch more as these are extremely rare, and more than hard to find..
