Original 1937 L-00 Gibson guitar with case
Let me start I know nothing about guitars. Had it identified by local music store owner and a vintage guitar dealer in Nashville
My stepdad bought it from an East Peoria gospel singer's husband 1st name Lee. Mom is 84 yrs and doesnt remember who the singer was just she used the guitar to play in church. she got new guitar and sold this one to my stepdad.
Its not pretty but plays beautiful rich sounds. Dad played it at blue gra...ss festivals. He died 20 yrs ago Mom kept guitar in closet till she decided it needed someone to play it.
Got a cash offer from the Nashville dealer but wanted to offer it first.
Had repair to bridge
refinish to make it gorgeous.
Can add more pics tomorrow.
Local pickup but buyer can get it shipped by fedex upon request.
A number inside is 917. Could be serial number.
Dad called it a Black Hole. Couldnt find that reference anywhere
