The following is a part of a very large collection of sports memorabilia, all of which I have collected over my lifetime. I am looking for a good home for each. COMBINED SHIPPING FOR MULTIPLE ORDERS!!!This is RARE RARE RARE COLLEGE BASKETBALL ITEM - a game-used 1975-76 UNIVERSITY OF DETROIT TITANS ROAD BASKETB...ALL JERSEY!! STARTING POINT GUARD DENNIS BOYD WORE THIS JERSEY DURING HIS JUNIOR SEASON WITH TITANS ON THE ROAD! ESPN'S DICK VITALE - "DICKIE V" - WAS IN THE MIDST OF HIS COLLEGE COACHING HEYDAY WITH THE TITANS!!! THE UNIVERSITY OF DETROIT TITANS' BASKETBALL COURT WAS NAMED FOR VITALE IN DEC. 2011!!Here's the link to the event and Vitale's heartfelt prose regarding his days at the University of Detroit!!!http://www.espn.com/espn/dickvitale/story/_/id/7318901/dick-vitale-honored-university-detroit-court-dedication As a fellow student/athlete at U-D in the mid-1970's, I was able to acquire Boyd's jersey and shorts from the student assistant equipment manager, after the team had changed/updated its uniform styles for the 1976-77 season, and the 1975-76 jersey were being discarded by the school. Boyd was the solid point guard for the Titans during their growth spurt into NCAA Tournament material. His stats are included in the photos. The historic "Centennial Edition" 64-page 1975-76 University of Detroit Media Guide will be included in this auction. It is a wonderful collection of both basketball and campus facts, figures and history!!!During the 1976-77 season, Boyd made perhaps the most critical shot in 1970's "Vitale-era" history.
