Louis XVI Gilt Bronze Clock Set Sevres Porcelain Mounted, REMARKABLE!!! 19th Ct.From The Lady Hamilton Collection.A decades old tag was found with the clock, see last photo.It is written:Antique French Louis XVI Design Gilded Bronze Royal Sevre Clock Set.Domed shaped clock of finely chiseled and gilded bronze ormolu in leaf and flower motifs.  All over inlaid with Royal Sevres porcelain plaques showing court beauties, cupid with bow and arrow and floral bow knots.  The top is... surmounted with by finely inlaid panel of a French Court beauty.  The side pieces are urn shaped with Rams Head handles of similar gilded chiseled ormolu and decorated with porcelain plaques, floral festoon and cupids.  Wonderfully chiseled clock set.  Made in France during the Louis Philllipe period about 1830.  From the Lady Hamilton Collection.Please note, no works in the clock, they were removed decades ago and replaced with an electical movement.  The face appears original.  No glass.  Hand missing.12 porcelain mounts to the clock.  3 porcelain mounts to each urn.Remarkable quality to the paintings and the gilt bronze.  The set weighs over 25 pounds.Thanks to the internet, compatible works for this masterpiece clock are available.We noticed a similar clock, the porcelain paintings were different, no urns included and being offered for $12, 000.00.We see no damage to the case or porcelain mounts.  The gilt surface is very nice, could use a bath to further enhance the original gilt.CLOCK: 19 1/2" TALL.  12 1/2" WIDE.  6" DEEP.URNS:  13" TALL.SELLING JUST AS WE FOUND IT!Shipping:
