**Please carefully read entire description**Made by talented husband and wife team, Lynne and Michael Roche. Emile and his rocket ship was produced in a very limited number of only 10 pieces. This Emile is lucky #7 of the 10. I am the first owner of this doll. I purchased him from a doll shop in the United States. Retail was about $3500. He is absolutely PRISTINE with a beautifully painted face. Emile’s face and hands are made of porcelain and his body is lime wood. He is jointed so ...he is able to sit and pilot his rocket ship. His wool outfit is gorgeous with hand stitched stars, shooting stars, and a rocket ship on the back. His loyal travel companion is knitted in black with a lavender collar. Emile stands 11 inches tall. The rocket ship is made of painted wood and stands 20 inches. Measured at the widest points, the rocket is 11 inches. No detail is overlooked. There are switches and artwork inside with a little bench for Emile and his pet to sit while flying through space. Emile comes with his signed hang tag. Please Note - the rocket ship had seams where the wood meets. In one seam there is a crack. The crack does not go all the way through as far as I can tell and it has not worsened over the years (it arrived to me this way). I have taken photos for your inspection as it is a “flaw”. Additionally the light in the rocket ship does not seem to work. I had never tried it so I’m not sure if it just needs a new bulb or if there is another issue (like loose wiring during shipment or battery issue). This piece is extremely rare. All 10 pieces were immediately sold out. I have never in all the years since release in 2003 ever seen one offered in the secondary market. For this reason I have no idea of today’s market value. This item is more expensive to ship because I want to be sure it is exceptionally packed. The box will be big and this is the only way to be sure it arrives just as it is today. My home is smoke free. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions!I’m also willing to share more pictures so if there is something you want to see just ask.
