**Very Good + Original First State Dust Jacket**
I am delighted to offer for auction an original First Edition / First Printing of just the fifth book in the James Bond series ' From Russia with Love'. Published in 1957 this is the original First Edition retaining the correct original First State dust jacket which has been with th...e book since new having the blank rear inner flap as called for. Highly collectable, complete and in very good condition.
Book Info: From Russia With Love by Ian Fleming, 1957 1st Edition / First Printing. Jonathan Cape, London. Bound in the original black cloth covers with rose and revolver motif this is a very good example of this highly collectable title. The covers are clean and bright, presenting very well indeed with minimal signs of age or wear. Sharp corners and spine tips on the whole with one bump to the spine tip. Internally the book is completely original and again it presents very well. No inscriptions or names etc with bright clean pages throughout. Tight hinges and margins and all nice and square. The book has the correct info to the verso of the main title page showing that this is 1957 First Edition / First Print with no mention of reprints. The outer page block remains clean with the only blemish being one small mark to the rear endpaper. A very nice example of this elusive title.
The dust jacket is original to the book so is therefore the correct First State with all the correct reviews and a BLANK rear flap as called for. A near very good example that presents nicely in a removable clear book cover. There are a couple of small chips to the spine tips and odd corner with some age toning to the rear panel. A little rubbing as to be expected but overall a nice presentable example of the elusive original jacket. Still clearly priced at 13s 6d net as called for. A delight for any collectors shelf.
