Rare Handmade Rose Gold Plated Pearl Elegante Flute - Open Hole - Straubinger Pads
Item History & Price
Rare Handmade Rose Gold Plated Pearl Elegante Flute - Open Hole - Straubinger Pads. It was maintained by David and Joel for years when I lived in Indiana.
This professional flute was purchased in 1996 for over $5, 000 (now selling for $8-10K). It is handmade with a PH-7 headjoint. The PH-7 was created specifically for Rhonda Larson. This is No. 301. Frankly, the headjoint is the best part of this flute. It has an AMAZING sound. It can literally fi...ll a concert hall. I like it almost better than my current Forte headjoint. I am the sole owner of the flute. It was made in Japan. It has a Rose Gold finish over sterling silver head, body and foot. The keywork is silver clad.
This flute has been like a family member to me. I'm only selling because it's time. I'm not going to lie. It isn't pristine meaning it has a couple of scratches which are easily buffed out.
The new Elegantes are NOT in the same line as this flute. This flute would be comparable to a Cantabile. Pearl changed its lineup of flutes. This particular line of flutes were discontinued and the Elegante was changed to accommodate a more economical line of flute.
Currently, I play a Pearl Maesta. While I love the Maesta, its high quality silver is very delicate and if you look at it wrong, I swear it bends. This Elegante is a workhorse. It withheld me for over 20 years!! That says something. I'm no shrinking violet and certainly wasn't as a young player.
This flute is a STEAL at this price. It is a great flute for a younger player ready to move to a professional level flute. This flute can easily compete with the professional level Haynes, Brannen and conservatory level Powell flutes selling for $10K+ and has for many years of professional playing.
I'm listing the buy it now price at $3, 600. That's because it does have scratches and will need to be overhauled soon. It is sold AS-IS. Do your due diligence. Serious inquiries only! Free shipping if sold at the buy now price in the U.S. Thanks!
