Purchased in 2017 directly from Moog Music. I opened the box, took a look, and put it back in the box with aspirations to use it "when I found the time". Long story short, I have a habit of buying rare and high end music gear but rarely get the time to actually use due to my career and family obligations. This Moog Model 15 is #132 of 150 produced and in new open box condition. Better yet, it comes with 2x the cables because I'm OCD and ordered extra from Moog. I also bought $60 in cus...tom 1.4" TS to Moog trigger cables for the times when you want to patch into other gear. I also never touched the hard cover Moog instructional owners manual and never opened the signed certificate of authenticity envelope. Still currently under warranty I believe, buyer to verify.
Original cost was $10, 000.Will come double boxed and packaged as Moog originally delivered. Because of the extra amount in cables I will send them seperately. Shipping cost will include insurance at maximum protection and/or final auction valuation. No returns accepted. You may have a local agent inspect before bidding. The moog modular model 15 is an ultra-powerful, compact studio synthesizer designed for live performance and portability. it is housed in a rugged tolex-encased cabinet and is an ideal solution for the touring synthesist. the model 15 design focuses on speed, creativity and simplicity while still providing the enormous sonic depth and dimension found only in a vintage moog modular synthesizer.
Faithfully recreating the model 15
Over the course of 3 years moog music set out to research and build a faithful recreation of the classic moog modular model 15 analog synthesizer. using all original documentation as well as circuit board and art files for every module, moog engineers have painstakingly recreated this powerful and portable analog system.
Each model 15 is hand-built to its original 1974 moog factory specifications and is a true recreation of the original. individual modules are brought to life just as the originals were, by hand-stuffing and hand-soldering components to circuit boards, and using traditional wiring methods. each module is then finished with a photo-etched aluminum panel, and placed in its new modular instrument.
This limited edition reissue of the moog modular model 15 is built to order, and is available in very limited quantities. only 150 model 15s will be made.
