Vintage ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET DR JEKYLL & MR. HYDE 1953 Movie Poster.
This poster is 100% vintage and original. It measures 27”x41” and is a one sheet. These do not come up often. This was found in my grandfather’s estate and has not seen the light of day in approx 47 years. As you can see in the pictures the colors are magnificent! This Hard to Find poster is in VERY good condition! It is number 53 out of 438 and is marked in the bottom right corner. NO pinholes in the corn...ers. It has been folded, which appears to be usual for posters from this period. While this poster will be a FABULOUS display piece it does have a few flaws. There is a stain at the bottom left corner that may be a water stain. It is minor and really doesn’t affect the overall look. There are a couple of VERY small crease holes where the poster has been folded. There is one small crease split where the poster was folded. There is some MINOR edge wear around the perimeter, but here again this does not distract from the piece. One panel on the back is darker than the others(as seen in the pictures) but this does not cause any color distortion on the front of the poster. Many, if not all, of these defects will practically disappear once this poster is mounted on acid free linen paper. I have added as many pictures as EBay will allow, but I have more pictures if requested.
This poster appears to have been purchased from Larry Edmunds book store around 1972. Their stamp is located on the back of the poster and I have the packaging that was used to mail to the customer.
