Purchased this set at a retired drummers estate sale. Slingerland's Black Gold Series was manufactured 1982-1984.All bearing edges look good, all have the black/gray interior.
Set is in nice clean condition, some scrapes, scratches; normal wear for the age and use.Seems to be original except for some of the heads. Tom arms, lugs and some hoops show discoloration.
Tom 12 x 12 serial# 528097 6 lug. Wrap is tight, seam is tight, few scuffs, shows some wear on rims ...and lugs. Mounting bracket shows discoloration. Everything original except heads.
Tom 13 x 13 serial# 526552 6 lug. Wrap and seam are tight, few scuffs shows some discoloration on rims, lugs and mounting bracket.
Floor tom 16 x 16 serial# 529787 8 lug. Wrap and seam are tight. Inside of 1 rim has about 2" of discoloration/rust. Normal wear few scuffs/scratches.
Bass 22 x 14 serial# 529424 8 lug. Wrap and seam are tight. Tension rods and claws show normal wear, slight discoloration on bass mount. Seems to be all original except 1 head.
