An incredibly rare1986 Team Lotus pit crew shirtThis shirt is from the Ayrton Senna’s second season with Team Lotus. Driving a 98T car he would have two wins, four second and two third place finishes.As collectors will know any Senna period Lotus pit crew shirts are incredibly hard to come by and highly sort after. This shirt would have been used at one of the non tobacco advertising Grand Prix that year due to the omission of the iconic JPS logo on the shirts. Instead it is replaced... with the initials of team owner Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman. Even so the team got away with having a John Player Special patch on the chest and arm for a race or two.The condition of this shirt is like new. Unlike today pit crews, team members were only given a couple of shirts to last the season. So it is vary rare to find one in this condition. There are no faults (tears, rips or stains) with it what so ever. All patches are in excellent condition and all buttons are still attached.
