Maximum under plate width x height x depth: 9.75 x 8.25 x 1 inches.These pieces represent some of the first and most complete examples of the 'Useful Wares' that marked the early days of Josiah Wedgwood as a leading pottery manuf...acturer. Basket shapes were amongst the earliest shapes produced by Wedgwood and A Twig Basket is shown as design number 28 of his '1817' catalog.See pictures for details.
