Legendary Sansui G-8000! 120 watts per channel!
One of the most highly regarded 'monster receivers' (see specs at bottom of description)
Some people prefer the G-8000 even over the Pioneer SX-1250.
This unit turns on and lights up, but no sound comes from my speakers with it hooked up. The power meters function when tuning in to a radio station, but no sound comes out. (I included a picture of the power meters working to show this - that implies to me that the amplifier do...es work, but I am no technician)
After doing some research, I see that this could be something like a fuse or switches that need cleaning....but that is beyond what I want to do with this. So I'd like to pass it on to someone who can fix it and give it a good home.
Please read the condition section for details. This unit is not perfect, but overall looks GREAT for its age. It really is beautiful. Nice and shiny, with its good looks easily outshining its minor imperfections.
I've taken great care in acquiring proper boxes and packing materials to ship this receiver. I've researched shipping a receiver this large, and know how important this is. It will be double boxed in nice sturdy boxes, allowing about 2 inches of space between all surfaces of the receiver and the first box, and about 2 inches of space between the first box and second box. The receiver will be wrapped in large-cell bubble wrap and any empty space in that first box will be filled and the receiver will be secure in there. Then the space between the first and second box will be lined with styrofoam and filled with more bubble wrap secured with tape so that nothing can shift. No movement will be allowed in the boxes, and I will do everything within my power to ensure the receiver gets to you in the same condition as it is shown in my pictures.
It will be shipped via UPS, or can be picked up locally. (Decatur, IL 62522)
I've looked at UPS shipping estimates to 2.25 hours away from me (around $70 for UPS ground) up to across the country - the Seattle, WA area. (around $135) Please keep in mind that these are estimates, and the actual shipping cost will be calculated based on your location after purchase has been made.
