HTML Style Sheet SCOTT 340A Stereomaster FM Stereo Tube Receiver Description Introduced in April 1962, the HH Scott 340 "Stereomaster" tuner-amplifier is rated at 27 watts per channel for a total of 54 watts RMS (advertised at 60 watts output and later 70 watts). The set essentially combines the Scott 350 FM multiplex tuner with the Scott 299C amplifier. It has a total of 20 tubes including four 7591A output tubes and a pair of 5AR...4/GZ-34 rectifiers. Advertised price for the 340 was $379.95. The set is now often identified as a Scott 340A to distinguish it from the very different 340B.

Unit is in EXCELLENT condition, shows very, very minor wear and tear. Unit is in VERY GOOD working condition and sounds great. Unit was in a built in cabinet (not included) and is very clean.
All tubes test GOOD on calibrated TV7au. All tubes appear to be the original tubes from the factory, branded Scott or Telefunken. The clear tuning dial has a crack at the center hole, may move out of correct dial position. They all have this problem, it is an easy fix. This unit is ready for a full rebuild, then it will be ready for another 50 years. It is best to start with a clean working unit.
