EE tape is newly developed tape that uses the magnetic material for high-density record, is used as the tape for videos, or a chromium tape for cassette decks, and is conventionally proud of high coercive force and a big residual magnetic flux density.
In GX-77, in order to pull out the characteristic of this EE tape, the amplifier circuit, recording head, and erasing head which were designed newly are carried, and the high region characteristic is greatly raised by this EE tape correspondence.
In order to demonstrate the characteristic of EE tape to the maximum extent and to aim at much more dynamic range expansion, The constant of the play equalizer in EE position is reduced by 19 cm/s, a noise level is reduced as 3180+50 (it is 3180+90 in LH position) by 3180+35 (LH position 3180+50) and 9.5 cm/s, and the dynamic range is also improving.
Moreover, the basic characteristic about the equalizer of EE position and compatibility other than bias is a thing according to international standards, such as IEC.
Original lambda loading a tape runs is adopted as the form of lambda, and it is not necessary to take about between a tension arm, pinch rollers, etc. like before in a mechanism part.
