A pair of gently used, WORKING Ampex speaker amps 10 watt 6V6 output tubes. In near pristine condition and ALL original. Matched RCA 6V6 outputs and rectifiers. The sound is simply amazing!No buzz. No hum, even at full gain! Fills my 20×30 living room with clear and beyond moderate listening levels. These are delightful little amps, capable of building a solid Classic American made system upon.Sold as-is due to vintage aspect and possible inexperience of the purchaser w...ith tube equipment. (Amps brought up to input voltage on a variac over 48 hours) Caps all seem fine.I have used examples of these amps to power Rogers LS3/5a, JBL L100's and more recently some very entry level Dayton T652's in my kid's campus apartment. He ran a Pro-ject Primary and Shure phono amp directly into a pair. Later he added a BT receiver and an inexpensive audio input switch box. Impressive, especially when the whole kit cost under $700 and rivaled $5000 systems sonically. Awesome unfussy bass and well defined highs. These are great little amps! Certainly the sonic equal of a Dyna SCA 35. Very sweet sounding, with a well defined bass and smooth treble range. PLEASE NOTE: This auction is for the amps only and their power cords.If you want the "suitcases" include an additional $35 for shipping or request an invoice. The suitcases DO NOT INCLUDE any speaker/driver. (Those were removed and sold decades ago during the Western Electric 755a craze.)
