This is a pair of the famous Yamaha NS1000M original model speakers Mirror image matched pair(The Best Early Model) with the Vapor-Deposition Beryllium mid-range 3.46" and tweeter 1.18" with ribbion type voice coils in Ebony cabinets. The woofer is a 11.8 and over all efficacy of speaker rating of 90db SPL with a respounce of 40-20, 000 These are one of the most legendary speakers every made and the reason why is they were made with no restrictions of cost or materials at the tim...e they were produced. Yamaha wanted to make a bold statement when they entered the High -End Audio world in the mid 70's and this was one of the products they introduced along with v-fet preamps and power amps. These speakers are very heavy at almost 70 pounds each with massive built cabinets made from Yamaha's own forest with stout bracing inside and massive magnets on the drivers and a outstanding crossover system. The original model like these are were matched at the factory for performance for perfect imaging and sound stage with level controls for mid and tweeter levels and come with the same serial number 91327 with L and R at the end.
