ChipChat 16/32 MCA Sound Card
Hello everyone, I'm a vintage computer collector returning to college, so I'm now looking to sell one of my rarest cards.
This is the ChipChat 32 (16 without wavetable card), one of the best sound experiences you can add to your MCA equipped PC.
According to ChipChat's own documentation, this card is compatible with the following sound standards:
IBM UltiMediaMPC level 1, 2, and 3Adlib (OPL-3 FM Synthesis)SoundBlasterSoundBlaster PR...OWindows Sound SystemGeneral Midi (via wavetable or external device though gameport)
And compatible with the following operating systems:
DOS 3.0 or higherMicrosoft Windows 3.1Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.11Microsoft Windows 95Microsoft OLEIBM OS/2 2.1IBM OS/2 2.11IBM OS/2 WarpIBM AIX
Included is the card itself (rev. C, manufactured in 1995), a WaveMaster DB-II Rev 2.0 MIDI wavetable daughterboard, and a new 1.44MB floppy containing drivers written by myself.
I do not have any of it's original documentation or packaging, though drivers and documentation is still available online. I am not the original owner.
The card works as I've used it in my IBM PS/2 Model 58 for at least a year, though due to the nature of vintage electronics and the rarity of this card, I cannot offer returns.
