This is a hard to locate MOS Technology MCS6530 RRIOT IC, with a date code of 3877, meaning it was made sometime in October 1977. The IC is in almost perfect condition, in its original factory anti-static carrier package. The top has faint zebra\centipede trace markings visible inside the ceramic. All gold plated legs are clean and free from any socket insertion marks, meaning this IC has probably never been used. This IC was designed to provide RAM-ROM-I/O timing, in addition to 1Kb o...f ROM and 64 bytes of SRAM. It provided a very high degree of integration for its time. Many early computers in the late 1970s, such as the Kim-1, used this IC.
