Vintage Ping Scottsdale Anser Putter. According to Noel Lawrence, "In 1966 the first PING Anser putter came off the assembly line. The first Ansers were manufactured in Scottsdale, Arizona for about a year and a half. About 4, 000 of these putters were produced during this time with the Scottsdale moniker. The toe and heel weights of these putters are sloped rather than squared and are not marked with ® symbols....Values of these putters range from $1, 500 (used) to $4, 000 (mint)." T...his is a 34" shaft, with a replacement rubber Ping grip. Inscription on head reads, "US Pat. 202.710 & 203.512. PING GOLF CLUBS. PO BOX 1345 Scottsdale Ariz, Made in USA, Other Pat Pend."
Normal wear and tear, but generally in good condition. There are no dings or dents or rust on the shaft. There are a couple of small spots that could in time develop into rust, though one could probably take care of them before that stage. I include a close-up of the small spots in one of the photos. Most of the shaft doesn't have these spots at all.
