Silicon Graphics IRIS Indigo. Not Working. For Parts Or Repair. Has CPU board (without RAM) and the video board. Power supply seems to work. No hard drives. Missing drive bay cover/door.
No sound and no serial port activity when turned on. The green LED on the front turns on and the power supply fan spins. No RAM is installed on the CPU card. I did try installing 4 Simms once but it still didn’t work.
The unit was stored in suboptimal conditions (damp concrete basement floor) a...nd there is now a bit of rust, concentrated near ground level (see pictures).
The CPU board appears to have had its battery removed. I do not know why, it was already missing when I got the system.
