Antique Glasgow School Arts & Crafts Chiming Brass Wall Clock Margaret Gilmour ? Click image to enlarge Description Please scroll down for more photos An antique Glasgow School Arts & Crafts Movement brass 'Wag at the Wa' chiming wall clock with weights and pendulum, unmarked but in the manner of Margaret Gilmour, and dating to around the early 20th century c.1900sThe clock is of octagonal form with a repousse Celtic entrelac design enclosing a slightly domed dial with Roman numerals. The pendulum has a conforming design and the weight driven chain movement is housed to the rear in a wooden case with the bell & striker on top - please see all 21 photos and . Size : Approx 14" wide x 5 3/4" deep - please ask for overseas shipping quote.Cosmetic Condition : Good antique condition with expected light marks / wear / tarnish commensurate with age & use, unpolished, heavy tarnish to the lead filled brass weights, one wooden side door missing, typical light bending to the brass strip pendulum arm.
Movement : The clock chimes the hours and half hour when the hands are manually moved and runs when the pendulum is swung, but the pendulum is unweighted (missing rear lead ?) so will only swing for a very short time before stopping.
