Vintage Tiffany & Co. Limoges France Hand Painted Porcelain Water Pitcher Jug
This is a nice size Vintage Tiffany & Co. Limoges France Hand Painted Porcelain Water Pitcher Jug. measuring 7" high x 9 1/2" wide to end of handle. This crisp white porcelain ball shape water pitcher jug is decorated with bright multi color hand painted flowers with green thin band around top rim and down front and sides of spout and handle. Made in Limoges France by G...DA, Gerard, Dufraisseix & Abbot.
Charles Field Havilland worked at Limoges with his Uncle David Haviland in 1852 and begand a competing porcelain decorating business with his Uncle Richard in 1859. Then formed a new company with his father in 1865 and founded Charles Field Haviland & Co. in 1870 and took control of the Alluaud factory in 1876 and in 1881 the firm became GDA Gerard, Dufraisseix & More with a mark of GDA / GDM. In 1902 the firm became GDA (Gerard, Dufraisseix & Abbott) with a mark of GDA/France.
The condition of this water pitcher jug is very, very good. No chips, cracks, crazing stains or repairs. Nice and clean inside and out. On the inside I did see 2 pin dot soze dark specs.
