This wonderful rare old antique iron letterbox/door knocker, Number 347 and possibly forged by Archibald Kenrick and Sons, was salvaged from an old cottage under renovation.
It has been stripped of old paint and surface rust and refinished with a formulation of oils that provide a surprising amount of protection without obscuring detail like plastic or painted finishes tend to do.
It measures 215mm (8 1/2") high, 65mm (2 1/2") wide and a depth of 50mm (2")
It has h...ad a new pin installed for the letterbox flap, as the original one had broken (See picture 12).
There were not any studs or nuts and washers with this door knocker.
There isn't another one of these on Ebay and are extremely hard to find.
