RARE Vintage 1990s Complete NIPPON JAPAN Scout Uniform Designed By Ralph Lauren

This is an extremely RARE Japan Nippon Boy Scout Uniform DESIGNED BY RALPH LAUREN.
Beautiful seemingly MINT CONDITION short-sleeved shirt and shorts are made of heavy cotton twill khaki fabric with all finished seams. Shirt has green piping around the shoulder epaulets and pocket flaps (I have only seen these in red before), and patches. Shorts are the 'newly designed' version in lieu of the past long pants version prior to this Ralph Lauren design. There are TWO SCARVES included as... shown (I an unsure about the red one, but came with it). TWO dark green wool berets came with the set as well.
THIS IS A ACTUAL BOY SCOUT UNIFORM MADE SOMETIME IN THE MID 90's THE NIPPON BOY SCOUTS OF JAPAN CONTRACTED RALPH LAUREN TO DESIGN THEIR UNIFORMS. I acquired this uniform in 1998 while employed as head cook at Camp Hi Sierra that year; my son attended the camp that summer and attended the 1998 INTERNATIONAL RENDEVOUS held there that year. Commonly BSA scouts 'traded' their own uniforms with scouts from other countries -- this was one of the ones he got in a trade.

Oddly, both the pant's and shirt’s tags say “made in China” but one should realize that a lot of products made for the Japanese domestic market in the 80s and 90s were made in China. They outsourced their manufacturing to China for the same reasons the U.S. did so. It was simply cheaper. Take the Super Famicom for example; it was made in China while the version exported to the U.S. (Super Nintendo) was made in Japan.
Note the World Conservation Award Badge over the right pocket is different than the BSA version colors (see WCA badge description on Wikipedia)
