Published in 1878, it was knownfrom the typ...e description alone for 120 years until rediscovered in thelowlands of western Colombia in 1998. It is a spectacular terrestrial aroidthat is surprisingly easy growing if kept warm and moist. Good water quality is a plus. Fast-growing fromyoung offsets and will develop into a multi-stemmed colony in a bulb pan inless than 18 months. Mature leaves are very ornamental with deep green velvetyleaves conspicuously contrast blotched in white. Adult plants grow to just over30”/75 cm tall and flower repetitively on stems with white, short-livedinflorescences.All plants offered are greenhouse grown on benches in the San FranciscoBay Area, California.Shipping: Plants will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail withtracking number for physical addresses within three working days of receipt ofpayment, weather permitting. 72-hour heat packs are available for an additionalUSD 6.00 eachWherever possible, plants will beshipped in plastic pots.
