Rare 1800s Diaphragm BUFFALO Gauge Co Steam Gauge

Over the next few weeks I will be listing many early (mid/late 1800s) and rare steam gauges from an advancedprivate collection. Some are diaphragm gauges and unless noted otherwise, all respond to air pressure, although I can not attest to their accuracy. Check back often to see great pieces.
Here is another small, 3 1/2", diaphragm steam gauge, this one is from the rarely seen BUFFALO STEAM GAUGE CO, B...uffalo, NY. Scale is 0-180 and features the old circus-style numbers. Case is iron, note the bulge in the back side to accommodate the diaphragm. Note the wonderfully complex diaphragm and linkage mechanism. 3/8" npt shank.
