2 Rare Antique Lottery Tickets for Shipwreck Victims The French Line Cruise Ship
Up for sale is a rare lot of 2 antique lottery tickets from the Transatlantic General Company which is the French Line of passenger cruise ships. The tickets are in French and I had to use Google translate and this is what I got for the wording "Lottery for the benefit companies of assistance to the shipwrecks and works of patronage assistance by the Transatlantic General Company "Compagnie Ge...nerale Transtlantique" which is The French Line. I imagine this is in connection with a specific shipwreck but they are undated. I think it's likely that these are quite rare cruise ship memorabilia. The tickets are 3" X 3.25". They have been folded at one time and one side was designed to be torn off for the other half of the lottery drawing.
