This is a very nice Aristo-Craft ART-22019 & ART-22319 G-Scale Southern Railway Alco FA-1/FB-2 AB Diesel Locomotive Set with Sound Unit installed in the A Engine. These engines feature working interior lights, headlight on the A unit, working smoke (the Alcos diesels were quite smokey), and operating AAR style knuckle couplers. Both the A and B units have dual motor drives. The sound unit has realistic engine sound that goes from idle to full throttle depending on the track voltage... and thus speed of the locomotive. Two reed switches mounted on the bottom are triggered by track-side mounted magnets to activate the bell and horn sounds. An internal rechargeable battery allows the idle sound to continue after track power is turned off and the engine stops. These engines have seen limited indoor track time and have been on static display most of their lives and are a bit dusty. The A unit has road #2019 and the B unit is #2069. The manuals plus hook and loop couplers are included.
