a really super example of an early art nouveau pewter and enamel biscuit box, it was produced in the art nouveau jugendstil secessionist era of around 1900 at the same time as the german firms of wmf, kayserzinn and orivit were producing similar pieces of art nouveau pewter, made by William haselers of Birmingham for the liberty & co tudric pewter ware range, fully marked to the base with the design number 0194 dating to around 1904 and easily recognisable as coming from the i...conic designs of archibald knox, the pewter is a polished condition with no loss of definition to the wonderful knox honesty & entrelac design there has been restoration to the some of the enamels buttons two complete and a couple touched in, lifting the drop in lid reveals the interior which is clean and without corrosion or repair, over all condition should be considered as excellent, it measures 4.5" square at the base and 4.5" high to the lid so a nice impressive display piece, if you require any further information, please send an e-mail and I will get back to you.we are happy to accept payment by cheque or bank transfer
