US 1886 $5 National Currency National Bank of Shreveport Bill/Banknote ~ Charter 3595 🇺🇸~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Up for auction is a US 1 1886 $5 national currency First National Bank of Shreveport, Louisiana bill/banknote 🇺🇸. Featured on the front of the bill on the left is a bearded bastion of banking power evidently. I don’t know who he was but his picture was to endure on many banks’ notes for many years. The denomination ($5) is given four times that I can... see on the front of this bill. The bank charter number (3595) is given six times on the front and again on the back. Pretty close in size to a modern-day American banknote, this bill measures 7⅛” (18 cm) long by 3⅛” (8 cm) wide.
This bill is in Very Good (VG) condition by my eye. Put the bill up to the light and you will see some small holes where the bill was folded. The edges are a little rough. The corners are in good condition.
If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.

I usually send out items within a day of receiving payment but several things could slow me down. I don’t like to send things to an address other than the one provided by eBay. Being a verified buyer and having a confirmed address can help.
For buyers outside the United States, customs and import taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer. The package will be labeled Merchandise, not Gift.
PayPal is usually the fastest and easiest way to pay but if you don’t want to use PayPal, I don’t want you to use PayPal. Contact me about alternative payment methods before bidding. Beware alternatives might take time.
